Pupstate Pet Resort

Pupstate Pet Resort is a pet resort at 8100 Augusta Road in Piedmont, SC, offering boarding, daycare, grooming, and a separate cattery. Owners comparing dog boarding in Piedmont can choose from several suite styles, with daily rates published on the resort's website. Dogs of every size are accepted, from small breeds up to giant ones.

What are the boarding suites like?

Pupstate is built around private indoor/outdoor suites with covered patios. Dogs go out to natural grass play yards several times a day, so they get regular fresh air and a change of scene. Suites have windows, ceiling fans with night lights, and flat-panel TVs. Some suites add heated floors for the colder months, and some play music around the clock.

What else does the resort offer?

• Daily brain puzzle enrichment with a licky mat or snuffle mat
• Dog daycare with indoor play space and outdoor yards
• On-site grooming
• Climate control throughout the facility
• An express self-wash station for owners who want to bathe their own dog

Cat owners have their own option too. The dedicated cattery sits apart from the dog areas and has two-story condos and its own playroom. That separation matters for cats who don't do well around barking.

What does it cost, and how do you book?

Boarding runs from $39 to $79 per day, depending on the suite. Reservations are made online, and the resort can also be reached by phone at 864-299-0540. Dogs must be current on their vaccinations to stay.

When is Pupstate open?

Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Wednesday is a short day that ends at noon. On Sunday the resort is open from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, which is useful to know when planning a pickup after a weekend away.
