Meadowbrooke Kennel

Meadowbrooke Kennel is a dog boarding and daycare facility on 16 acres of rolling farmland at 1811 Holston River Road in Knoxville, TN. It also offers overnight stays, day boarding, training, board-and-train programs and grooming. Families can cover most of what their dog needs while they're away in one place.

What is boarding like at Meadowbrooke?

Dogs stay in indoor/outdoor runs that are closed in safely at night and during weather extremes, inside a climate-controlled facility. The property has yards, trails, a stream and event fields spread across the farmland. Owners can choose exercise options for their dog's stay, including playyard time, hikes and cuddle time.

Care continues after the office closes. The owners live on site for after-hours care, and the kennel lists 24/7 supervision. If a dog needs emergency treatment, the UT Vet School is about 10 minutes away.

Services and amenities

• Overnight boarding and day boarding
• Obedience, agility and board-and-train programs
• Grooming, which can be paired with a boarding stay
• Medication administration
• Pickup and drop-off service

How does training fit in?

Training is a big part of the kennel's identity. The staff describe a conversational, language-based style meant to get dogs responding to their owner's voice. Pairing boarding with training can turn a long trip into a chance to work on manners or sport skills.
