PAWZ Dog Services

PAWZ Dog Services is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 410 West Blount Avenue in South Knoxville, with grooming available on site. It accepts dogs of every size, from small breeds up to giant ones, and owners book their stays online.

What is the facility like?

The building covers 7,500 square feet and is temperature-controlled throughout. ADT secures it, and it also has a full sprinkler system and 24/7 video surveillance. Boarding dogs stay in runs of various sizes. The largest run measures 4'x6'x6', which gives XL breeds or siblings room to share a space. Staff disinfect every run daily, and each one comes with a cot, bedding and access to water.

Where do the dogs play?

PAWZ has four outdoor play yards with shade, fans and cooling misters for hot summer days. During the summer, a stock-tank pool goes into the largest turf yard. There is also indoor play space, so play groups can keep going when the weather turns bad.

Key services and amenities:

• Overnight dog boarding in climate-controlled runs
• Dog daycare with indoor and outdoor play
• On-site grooming
• A dedicated Senior Room with rubber flooring and a ramp

Is it a good fit for older dogs?

The Senior Room is the detail owners of aging dogs will notice first. Its rubber flooring gives older dogs better footing, and a ramp connects it to the rest of the building, so there are no stairs to climb. The facility describes it as a quieter space for aging dogs and dogs with special needs.
