Hidden Valley Animal Hospital

Hidden Valley Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital at 17501 Hidden Valley Rd. in Independence, Missouri, and it boards dogs alongside its medical practice. For owners weighing dog boarding in Independence, the appeal is simple. Your dog stays at a working animal hospital with a vet on site and staff who can give medications.

What does boarding at Hidden Valley include?

Dedicated kennel attendants look after boarding dogs, and the hospital also has its own grooming department. These are the main services and amenities:

• Veterinary boarding with a vet on site
• Medication administration for dogs on prescriptions
• Grooming with hand-scissoring cuts, Furminator treatment, and Hydrosurge bathing
• Wellness exams, vaccinations, and parasite control
• An in-house laboratory, radiography, and ultrasound

Who is vet-based boarding a good fit for?

Dogs on daily medication, older dogs, and dogs with ongoing health issues are the clearest fit. Veterinary care is right there if something comes up during a stay. The practice also handles dental cleanings, oral surgery, spay/neuter, soft tissue, and laser surgery, so it can serve as your regular vet too.

The staff describe their approach as giving every pet the attention they would give their own. They also say they take extra time with anxious animals to make visits less stressful.
