Lakewood Animal Health Center

Lakewood Animal Health Center is a full-service animal hospital that also offers dog boarding and daycare in Lee's Summit, MO. Its boarding is supervised by veterinarians. That makes it a good fit for owners whose dogs have health needs, or for anyone who wants medical care close by while they're away.

What does boarding at Lakewood include?

Dogs stay at a working veterinary hospital, not a standalone kennel. Daily outdoor walks come with every boarding stay, and the property has outdoor space. The hospital says it aims to treat each pet as its own in a warm, caring setting.

• Veterinarian-supervised boarding
• Daily outdoor walks included with boarding
• Doggy daycare
• Grooming on site
• On-site veterinary care, surgery, and diagnostic imaging

Why board a dog at a vet clinic?

The main reason is quick access to medical care. If a boarding dog gets sick or hurt, exams, surgery, and diagnostic imaging are available in the same building. Lakewood is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). That's a useful signal for owners comparing boarding options around Lee's Summit.

Grooming is offered on site too. Owners can ask about scheduling a grooming appointment during their dog's stay.
