Airy Pines Boarding Kennel

Airy Pines Boarding Kennel is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 931 Old Frankstown Road in Pittsburgh, PA. Owners searching for dog boarding in Pittsburgh will find overnight stays and doggie daycare here, with four fenced-in acres of play space at the center of it all. The kennel accepts dogs of every size, from small breeds up to giant ones.

What does a stay at Airy Pines include?

Boarding runs $49 to $63 per night, according to the kennel's website. That rate covers more than a run and a bowl. Premium dog food, treats, toys, and fresh water are included, and playtime is unlimited at no extra charge.

• Four fenced-in acres with a newly installed seven-foot-high fence
• Supervised play in groups or individually
• Climate-controlled facilities
• A fleece blanket at bedtime, plus foam mats for dogs with hip or back issues
• Bathing and nail services

How are dogs grouped for play?

The acreage is split into separate yards. Small and senior dogs have their own space, medium-to-large social dogs share another, and a third yard is set aside for dogs that play alone. That layout matters for owners of older dogs, or of dogs that don't do well in a pack. Play is supervised whether a dog is in a group or on its own.

Can the kennel handle special needs?

Airy Pines lists medication administration and special diets among its services. Owners whose dogs take daily medication or eat a specific food should bring it up when booking. Dogs with joint trouble get a foam mat at night for extra comfort.

Practical details

Vaccinations are required before a dog can stay. Reservations are made online through the kennel's website, and the kennel can also be reached by phone at 724-733-2242. Daycare is offered alongside overnight boarding, so owners who only need daytime care have that option too.
