The Golden Bone Pet Resort

The Golden Bone Pet Resort is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 6890 Fifth Ave in Pittsburgh, PA. It also offers grooming, training and a separate space for cats. Dogs stay in private, climate-controlled suites, and the facility runs cage-free play with 24/7 supervision.

What does a boarding stay include?

Every boarding stay includes at least four exercise sessions a day, so dogs get regular time out of their rooms. The property has three large heated outdoor play areas, which helps during a Pittsburgh winter. Indoor play space covers bad-weather days, and nine dog-friendly HD TVs are set up around the building.

• Private suites with climate control
• Three heated outdoor play areas plus indoor play space
• 24/7 supervision
• Medication administration for dogs on a schedule
• Grooming and training on site

Is there daycare, and can cats stay too?

Daycare runs alongside boarding. That works for owners who want a regular play day without an overnight stay. Cat owners have an option as well. The Kittie Korner is a private co-op for cats only.

What sets it apart?

The resort describes its approach as personalized care for the whole family's pets. The day-to-day details support that: built-in exercise, private suites and staff on hand around the clock. Long stays also cost less. Boarding for more than 30 days earns a 25% discount, which can help families planning a long work trip or a move.
