Whole Dogz

Whole Dogz is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 4748 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, VA, with care on site 24 hours a day. Besides overnight stays, it offers grooming, training, and cat boarding under one roof.

What services does Whole Dogz offer?

Owners who want to handle everything in one place will find most of it here. The main services and amenities include:

• Cage-free play during the day, with private suites for sleeping
• Dog daycare with 24/7 supervision
• Grooming and training on site
• Medication administration and special diets
• Webcam access so owners can check in while away

Cat owners can book cat suites and condos at the same facility.

What makes it different from a typical kennel?

The layout gives dogs room to move. There are three indoor play areas and one outdoor area, plus an agility and fun room. For dogs that do better with company at night, the kennel offers sleepovers in the manager's room with a staff member. That option may suit nervous dogs or dogs that are used to sleeping near their people.

Every dog completes a temperament evaluation before boarding, so staff know each guest before an overnight stay. Whole Dogz lists AKC S.A.F.E. certification and Pet CPR and First Aid certification. The kennel describes its approach as treating boarders like members of the family.

There is also an on-site store selling healthy food, treats, and supplements. Regular customers can join the Yourgi rewards program.
