Hometown Bed & Biscuits

Hometown Bed & Biscuits is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 6137 Franconia Road in Alexandria, VA, and it shares its location with an on-site veterinary clinic. It accepts dogs of every size, from small breeds to giant ones, and it also boards cats overnight.

What sets this kennel apart?

The biggest difference is the vet clinic on site. If a boarding dog gets sick or needs a closer look, a care team is in the same building instead of across town. Staff can also give medications during a stay, which helps owners of older dogs or dogs on a daily routine.

The kennel says its goal is to give pets the love and care their owners would expect while they're away. Dogs are walked 5 to 7 times a day and get both group and individual playtime.

Where do dogs stay?

Rooms are matched to size. Guests under 40 lbs stay in raised steel-cage accommodations. Bigger dogs can book a luxury suite, and these suites can fit pets over 125 lbs. Owners who want more space for their dog can ask about the private suites.
