Rivermist Pet Lodge

Rivermist Pet Lodge is a pet boarding facility in Brinklow, MD, that offers dog boarding, daycare, training and grooming. It also has a separate lodge for cats. Owners looking for dog boarding in Brinklow or the nearby Olney area will find private suites and plenty of room outdoors on a 37-acre property.

What is a boarding stay like?

Dogs stay in private, climate-controlled suites with comfortable bedding and soothing music. Staff clean three times a day, so rooms stay fresh even during a longer trip. Owners can check on their dogs through webcam access while they're away.

Dogs also spend time outside their suites. The lodge has outdoor play yards, indoor play space and a Nature Park on the property.

What services are offered?

• Overnight boarding in private suites
• Dog daycare with playgroups matched by size and temperament
• Dog training and grooming
• Medication administration and special diets
• Home pick-up and delivery in Howard and Montgomery Counties

What sets it apart?

Rivermist keeps a high staff-to-dog ratio and groups dogs for play by size and temperament. That helps a small or shy dog that would rather not share a yard with bigger, rowdier ones. Cats stay in the Cattail Lodge, which is kept apart from the dogs. That's useful for households that board both.

The pick-up and delivery service is a practical extra. Busy owners in Howard and Montgomery Counties can skip the drive at both ends of a trip.

How do owners book?

Reservations are made online. Vaccinations are required, so owners should have their dog's records ready before the first stay. Questions can go to (301) 720-8773 or info@rivermistpetlodge.com.
