PawSpa Resort Pittsburgh

PawSpa Resort Pittsburgh is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 1701 Saw Mill Run Blvd in Pittsburgh, PA. It also offers grooming and training on site, and it lists cat boarding among its services.

What is a stay like for dogs?

The facility covers 5,000 square feet and has three indoor-outdoor romper rooms where dogs play cage-free during the day. At night, boarding guests sleep in private suites with central heating, air-conditioning and music. Beds and blankets are provided, and every boarding guest gets a complimentary bedtime snack.

Dogs eat their meals in individual break rooms, so they don't have to share food space with a crowd. Older dogs have a separate Senior Activity Area. That helps owners whose dogs prefer a slower pace than the main playgroups.

• Overnight boarding in private, climate-controlled suites
• Cage-free dog daycare with indoor and outdoor space

Who looks after the dogs?

PawSpa has experienced vet techs on staff, and staff can give medication. This matters for owners of dogs on a daily pill or a recovery plan. The kennel describes its care as structured and personal, with routines and attention suited to each dog. The business is family owned.
