Home Away Boarding Kennel

Home Away Boarding Kennel is a family-owned dog boarding and daycare facility at 12515 Adams Rd in Plain City, Ohio. It also boards cats and small or exotic pets. The owners live on-site, right next to the kennel.

What services does Home Away offer?

The kennel offers overnight boarding, daytime care and some grooming. It accepts dogs of every size, from small breeds up to giant ones. The runs are roomy enough to fit the largest dogs comfortably.

• Climate-controlled boarding in spacious runs
• Dog daycare with outdoor space
• Grooming and baths
• Private suites, including a separate quiet room for cats
• Medication administration for pets that need it

What is a typical stay like?

Dogs get several potty and play breaks every day. Dogs that get along with others can join supervised buddy play with other boarders. Owners can also book private exercise sessions for dogs that do better one-on-one. Cats stay in private suites in their own quiet room, away from the noise of the dog area.

Why do local owners choose it?

Home Away is a small, family-run kennel, not a chain. Since the owners live next to the kennel, they are close to the dogs in their care. Households with more than one kind of pet can board everyone in one place, from a giant-breed dog to a small or exotic pet. That makes trip planning simpler for families who would otherwise need two or three different sitters.
