Dawg Tired Play Days

Dawg Tired Play Days offers dog daycare and overnight dog boarding at 5219 72nd St E in Tacoma, WA, and it also has training on site. It takes dogs of every size, from small breeds to giant ones. It is open seven days a week.

What services does Dawg Tired Play Days offer?

Most of the day here is play. Dogs spend their time in supervised outdoor yards, in playgroups sorted by temperament and size. That way a quiet small dog isn't stuck in a crowd of big, rowdy players. Overnight guests get the same routine, because play days come with boarding.

• Dog daycare in supervised outdoor play yards
• Overnight boarding in private rooms, including the Westminster Suite
• Dog training
• Medication administration for dogs who need it
• Scheduled feeding for boarding guests

What is the facility like?

The play yards have artificial turf, and covered areas let dogs stay outside whatever the weather is doing. Tall, secure fencing surrounds the space, and the gates are double-locked. Inside, the building has heating and air conditioning throughout.

The kennel's own website has a warm, homey tone. It says it wants dogs to feel safe and loved, and excited to come back. The focus on sorted playgroups and secure yards suggests a place that takes group play seriously.

Practical details for owners

The facility is open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM every day, weekends included. The kennel's website lists overnight boarding at $48 to $50 per night. Vaccinations are required, so it helps to have your dog's records ready before you reach out.

Bookings are made by email at dawgtired5219@gmail.com. The phone number is (253) 984-9501 if you have questions first. The kennel also has a Facebook page under the Dawg Tired Play Days name, which is another way to get a feel for the place before your dog's first stay.
