Bark Central

Bark Central is a dog boarding, daycare and grooming facility at 610 112th St. E. in Tacoma, WA, serving the Tacoma and Parkland area. Owners searching for dog boarding in Tacoma can choose between home-style crate boarding and private luxury suites, and boarding dogs spend their days in supervised group play.

What boarding options does Bark Central offer?

There are two overnight setups. Home-style boarding uses crates and suits dogs that already sleep in one at home. The private luxury suites are 12x12 rooms where dogs sleep cage-free, which works well for households with more than one dog. Sibling dogs are housed together, so dogs from the same family don't have to be split up.

Dogs stay in their sleeping spaces mainly at bedtime. The rest of the day goes to play in small, supervised groups, with both indoor play areas and outdoor space.

What comes with a stay?

• All-day supervised group play, indoors and outside
• Twice-daily feeding with the dog's own food at no extra charge
• Dog doors for easy bathroom breaks
• Medication administration
• Grooming, plus anesthesia-free dental cleaning clinics

Who is it a good fit for?

Bark Central accepts dogs of every size, from small breeds up to giant ones. Because the day centers on group play, it suits social dogs that like company and plenty of activity. Owners of shyer dogs may want to call ahead and talk through how their dog would settle in. Cats can board overnight too, in an area kept separate from the dogs.
