Bark On Main

Bark On Main is a pet salon on West Main Street in Norman, Oklahoma, that offers dog boarding and doggie day camp alongside a full grooming menu. Owners looking for dog boarding in Norman with grooming in the same building can get both here. The salon also grooms cats.

What services does Bark On Main offer?

Grooming is the heart of the business, and the menu goes well past a basic bath. Owners who board a dog or bring one to day camp can ask about adding grooming services.

• Traditional dog boarding and daycare
• Deep-conditioning coat treatments, de-shedding and hand-scissoring finishes
• Nail trimming and filing, plus pedicures with nail painting and pad moisturizer
• Ear cleaning with all-natural products, and gland expression on request
• Teeth brushing, breath sprays, and tick and flea treatments

What is the approach like?

The salon's website describes a kind, caring and laid-back setting. It says care is tailored to each pet's personality instead of following a one-size-fits-all routine. Coat care is treated as specific to each breed, with shampoos, tools and styling matched to the dog.

That focus on individual handling may appeal to owners whose dogs get anxious at the groomer. The site says staff work patiently with sensitive pets to ease them into the process.
