Your Dog's Best Friends

Your Dog's Best Friends is a dog daycare and cageless boarding facility at 2000 Richmond Highway in Alexandria, VA, serving the Del Ray area. Owners looking for dog boarding in Alexandria can find overnight stays, daily playcare, grooming, training and dog walking at one location.

What does boarding look like here?

The facility calls its overnight option Bedroom Boarding. Dogs sleep cage-free in a bedroom setting, and a staff member stays with them through the night. Supervision runs 24/7, which matters to owners who don't want their dog left alone after hours.

How does daycare work?

Daycare takes place in an indoor, climate-controlled play area without cages. The day includes a midday naptime rest period, so dogs get a chance to settle and recharge before afternoon play. The kennel's own website describes its approach as positive, built on praise and attention rather than dominance or fear.

What services are offered?

• Cage-free daycare with indoor play
• Bedroom Boarding with overnight staff
• Grooming
• Training based on positive reinforcement
• Professional dog walking

Is there help for anxious or special-needs dogs?

Yes. The Step-UP Socialization program is designed for special-needs dogs. The website frames it for owners whose dogs struggle with anxiety, agitation or other emotional stress. Anyone considering it should call ahead and talk through their dog's history.

When is it open and how do owners book?

The facility is open 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Booking is handled by phone at 703-566-1111. General questions can also go to info@yourdogsbestfriends.com, and the business keeps active pages on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
