Windy Knoll Kennels

Windy Knoll Kennels is a full-service dog boarding and grooming facility at 6004 Raynor Avenue in Franksville, Wisconsin. Owners searching for dog boarding in Franksville will find a Racine County kennel that works with all breeds. It also raises Labrador Retrievers and Scottish Terriers.

What services does Windy Knoll offer?

The kennel's main business is traditional boarding, and grooming is offered at the same place. That pairing is handy if a dog needs a bath or trim before heading home. Its key offerings are:

• Full-service dog boarding
• Grooming
• Experience with all breeds
• Labrador Retriever and Scottish Terrier breeding
• Puppy health guarantees

How is it different from a typical boarding kennel?

Few boarding facilities also breed dogs, and Windy Knoll does. It is an AKC breeder of Labrador Retrievers and Scottish Terriers and backs its puppies with health guarantees. The kennel's website reads like it was written by someone who cares a lot about where dogs end up. It spends far more time on training, socialization, and picking a breed that fits your life than on selling anything.

That outlook carries over to the boarding side. The kennel describes its experience as covering all breeds, so it isn't limited to the two breeds it raises. Owners of mixed breeds or less common dogs can call and talk through their dog's needs.

How do you book a stay?

Booking is handled by phone. Call (262) 835-4858 to ask about availability, rates, and what your dog needs before a stay. Email at info@windyknollwi.com works for general questions, but the phone is the way to reserve a spot. More background on the kennel and its breeding program is on its website at windyknollwi.com.
