Playmate Kennels and Stables

Playmate Kennels and Stables is a boarding and daycare facility in Union Grove, Wisconsin, that cares for dogs, cats, and horses. If you're looking for dog boarding in Union Grove, it offers climate-controlled kennels, indoor and outdoor space, and supervision around the clock. The business is woman-owned and also handles grooming and training.

What services does Playmate offer?

The kennel covers most of what a dog owner needs in one place. Its own site describes the boarding as spacious and low-stress, with room for dogs to exercise and play.

• Traditional dog boarding in climate-controlled kennels
• Doggie daycare with indoor play areas and outdoor space
• Dog grooming, plus a discount on an exit bath after a boarding stay
• Dog training
• Cat and horse boarding for households with more than one kind of animal

What sets it apart?

Training is a real focus here. One of the instructors is certified by the German Shepherd Dog Club of Wisconsin, and the kennel also breeds German Shepherds. That background may appeal to owners of working breeds or dogs that do well with structure.

Supervision is the other draw. The facility lists 24/7 supervision and a veterinarian on call, which matters if your dog has health needs or has never boarded before. Families with several pets can ask about the multi-pet discount when they call.
