Wags and Whiskers

Wags and Whiskers is a cage-free dog daycare and boarding facility in Little Rock, Arkansas, open seven days a week. Dogs come for daytime play or overnight stays. The business opened in 2015 and has expanded to 30,000 square feet of play area, which its site calls the largest cage-free dog enrichment center in Arkansas. Dog boarding here is limited to dogs already familiar with the daycare routine.

How the day is structured

Dogs are not rotated in and out of kennels during the day. They move between indoor and outdoor space at their own pace, in supervised groups sorted by size, age, and temperament. Those groups are Tiny Town for toy breeds, Posh Pets for small dogs, Canine Courtyard for medium dogs, Urban Tails for large breeds, and the Zen Den for senior and anxious dogs.

Services and amenities

• Cage-free daycare: $28.50 for a full day, $19 for a half day up to four hours
• Overnight boarding in kennels or private suites, $50 to $75 per night
• A la carte bathing and grooming, with walk-ins welcome from 9 a.m. to noon
• Add-ons such as nature walks, cuddle time, Sniffari scent courses, treadmill sessions, and birthday parties
• Taxi service to and from the facility for owners who cannot make normal hours

What owners should know before booking

Every dog needs an evaluation first, and that first day costs $60. Vaccinations for rabies, bordetella, and DHPP are required, and dogs must be spayed or neutered by six months.
