The Doghouse Whitmore Lake

The Doghouse Whitmore Lake is a dog daycare and overnight boarding facility at 2420 E. North Territorial Rd. in Whitmore Lake, Michigan. For owners comparing dog boarding in Whitmore Lake, its biggest draw is space. Dogs spend their days on 200 acres of outdoor play space with a pond yard and off-leash trails.

What does a typical day look like?

The program is built around time outside. Dogs move through large outdoor play yards, and dogs that like water can use the pond yard. Structured rest and recovery periods are part of the routine, so dogs get downtime between rounds of play. Owners can follow along through a daily photo album.

What services and amenities are offered?

• Dog daycare with supervised outdoor group play
• Overnight boarding at $55 per night
• On-site overnight care, with a real person present every night
• Off-leash trails and a pond yard across 200 acres
• A daily photo album of the dogs at play

How does it handle new or anxious dogs?

New dogs don't start on day one. They go through a structured 5-step onboarding program first. The kennel describes its approach as patient, and its staff work to get to know each dog. Dogs with anxiety or behavioral challenges get individualized attention, which may suit owners whose dogs struggle in busy group settings.
