Streamline Canine

Streamline Canine provides in-home dog boarding in Richmond, VA, along with full-day daycare it calls Day School and guided hikes for dogs. The whole operation is built around exercise and enrichment, with the stated goal of sending home a tired, fulfilled dog.

What boarding options are available?

Boarding comes in two tiers. Basic Boarding costs $60 per night and covers the essentials. Adventure Boarding costs $85 per night and adds a decompression hike, which suits dogs that need more than a yard to settle. Owners get daily photos and updates with either option.

• Basic Boarding ($60/night)
• Adventure Boarding with a decompression hike ($85/night)
• Day School full-day care
• Group hikes for 2-4 dogs, plus solo hikes for reactive dogs
• Grooming, training, and medication administration

Is it a good fit for active or reactive dogs?

High-energy dogs are clearly the target here. Group hikes stay small, with two to four dogs at a time, so each dog gets real attention on the trail. Dogs that don't do well around other dogs can go on solo hikes instead. The site describes its training style as balanced and reward-based, adjusted to what works for each dog and family.

How do transport and hiking safety work?

Streamline Canine offers pickup and dropoff, and dogs ride in a climate-controlled van. On hikes, the team uses GPS and long-line safety gear to keep dogs secure while they explore. The property also has outdoor space for dogs during their stay.

How do owners get started?

The best first step is the Streamline Canine website, which lists services and prices. The business is also on Instagram. Because this is an in-home setup with small groups, owners looking for dog boarding or daycare in Richmond should reach out early to check availability for their dates.
