Spalding Farms Only Paws

Spalding Farms Only Paws is a dog boarding and daycare facility in Hollywood, MD, set on over 7 acres of farmland in Southern Maryland. Overnight stays run from $40 to $70 per night. The property also offers grooming, a doggie daystay program, and help for couples who want their dog included on their wedding day.

What is a boarding stay like?

Dogs stay in climate-controlled private suites with raised beds, plush bedding, and Today's Hits radio playing in the rooms. Select rooms connect to a private courtyard or deck through a doggy door, so dogs can step outside on their own. Boarding guests also get a biscuit at bedtime. It's a small touch that fits the homelike routine the kennel says dogs do best with.

How does group play work?

Play happens in four large yards with real grass, divided by dog size so small and large dogs stay apart. Dogs must pass a temperament test before they join social play. Groups are kept small and supervised by 2-3 handlers. For owners worried about a rough-and-tumble free-for-all, that setup is worth knowing about.

What else does the kennel offer?

• Doggie daystay with enrichment and brain-boosting play
• On-site grooming
• Medication administration
• Indoor play space alongside the outdoor yards
• Pickup and drop-off service

The daystay is aimed at owners heading to work who want their dog to come home tired and content. The kennel also offers wedding pet services for couples who'd like someone handling their dog on the big day.

How do you book?
