Southern Oasis Bed & Bark Pet Resort

Southern Oasis Bed & Bark Pet Resort offers dog boarding and daycare at 3020 Beagle Run Place in Waldorf, MD, on over 7 acres of grounds. Along with overnight dog lodging, it boards cats, runs a social daycare program and offers grooming. It also picks up and drops off pets through its Fetch n' Ride service.

What services does the resort offer?

The resort handles most of what a Charles County pet owner needs in one place. Its own website describes a resort-style approach focused on each pet's comfort, happiness and well-being.

• Overnight dog lodging and cat lodging
• Doggie daycare, including Mix and Mingle social play
• Grooming and spa services
• Fetch n' Ride pet transportation
• Outdoor space on more than 7 acres

What makes it different?

The size of the property stands out. With over 7 acres of grounds, there is plenty of outdoor space for dogs during a stay or a day of play. The grounds are described as quiet and calm, which may suit dogs that do better away from a busy roadside setting.

The resort also makes special arrangements for shift workers and emergencies. Owners with unusual schedules can call and ask what is possible. Families closer to Prince George's County may want to look at the resort's second location in Clinton, MD.
