Salem Creek Kennels

Salem Creek Kennels is a family-owned dog boarding kennel at 1644 Jones Wire Road in Swansea, SC. It offers overnight stays in climate-controlled kennels with supervised outdoor play. Owners looking for dog boarding in Swansea will find a traditional kennel with a few useful extras.

What are the kennels like?

Every kennel is 4x8 and has privacy walls, so dogs aren't staring at their neighbors all day. Each one has a Kuranda raised bed. Owners can choose an indoor/outdoor combo, where a dog door opens to an outside run, or an indoor-only kennel that works well for small dogs. Kennels are cleaned and sanitized daily.

How do dogs spend their day?

The kennel has several fenced play yards, and staff supervise playtime. Dogs who like to explore can also go on nature walks around the kennel's own acreage. The building is climate controlled, which helps a lot during a South Carolina summer.

Services at a glance

• Overnight boarding at $35 per night
• Indoor/outdoor and indoor-only kennel options
• Supervised play in fenced yards
• Nature walks on the property
• Go-home baths, grooming, and medication administration

What should owners know before booking?

Reservations are made by phone at 803-231-8283. The kennel can also be reached by email at salemcreekkennels@gmail.com. Vaccinations are required, so have your dog's records ready before you call. Staff can give medication during the stay, which helps owners of older dogs or dogs with ongoing health needs.

The go-home bath is a practical touch. After a few days of yard play, dogs can head home clean instead of muddy. Full policies and boarding details are posted on the kennel's website, and it's worth reading them before booking.
