What services does Ridge Kennels offer?

• Overnight boarding for dogs and cats
• Dog daycare
• Grooming
• Medication administration during a stay
• Puppy playtime sessions and peanut-butter Kong enrichment treats

What makes it different?

The kennel is veteran-owned and operated, and its website returns again and again to safety, security, and cleanliness. The tone is direct and rule-minded. Policies on health, behavior, and what owners should bring are spelled out, which helps first-time customers know what to expect before drop-off.

The extras are simple but thoughtful. Puppy playtime sessions give younger dogs a break from their kennel, and the peanut-butter Kong treats are meant to keep boarded dogs calm and busy. Families with more than one dog can take advantage of multi-dog boarding discounts.

What should owners know before booking?

Published daily rates range from $38 to $88, depending on the pet and the type of stay. Vaccinations are required, so have your pet's records ready before booking. Reservations are made online.

Listed hours are 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday. Drop-off and pickup windows can be narrower than the listed hours, so calling 301-934-1916 before you head over is a good idea. The kennel also takes questions by email at Ridgekennels@gmail.com.
