Pup Pup & Away

Pup Pup & Away is a dog boarding, daycare and training facility at 3701 San Pedro Ave in San Antonio, TX. A certified canine behaviorist owns and runs it, and that background shapes the whole operation. Play is structured, with group activities, rest breaks and manners practice built into the day.

What services does Pup Pup & Away offer?

The facility handles overnight stays, weekday daycare and training in one place. Key offerings include:

• Private overnight boarding accommodations
• Doggy daycare with indoor play and outdoor space
• Group activities, plus individual enrichment add-ons
• Training, including board and train programs
• Personalized digital report cards with photos and videos

What makes it different from a typical kennel?

The focus on behavior is what stands out. Staff keep a close eye on body language, reward calm choices and fold small manners into the fun, like sitting and waiting at doors. Listed certifications include CPDT-KA, CBCC-KA and Pack Pro certification.

New dogs start with an Orientation Assessment that includes temperament testing. This gives the team a sense of how each dog handles group settings before it joins in. Owners who want to stay in the loop get personalized digital report cards, complete with photos and videos from the day.

What should owners know before booking?

Boarding runs from $30 to $75 per night, based on prices published on the kennel's website. Families boarding a second pet get a 10% discount on that dog. Vaccinations are required for all guests. Business hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Reservations are made by phone at (210) 899-1688.
