Playful Pets

Playful Pets is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 13 North Green St in Columbus, Ohio, offering overnight stays, daytime play, and grooming in one place. The biggest draw is space. The facility has a 6,000 sq ft indoor dog park and a 10,000 sq ft fenced-in outdoor play area, which adds up to over 16,000 sq ft of total play space.

What services does Playful Pets offer?

• Overnight dog boarding
• Dog daycare with supervised playgroups
• Grooming
• Medication administration
• Indoor and fenced outdoor play areas

How does playtime work?

Dogs are sorted into supervised playgroups by size and temperament. Large and small dogs play in separate areas, which helps if your dog is small or a bit timid. The kennel describes its approach as professional but fun. Staff adjust to each dog, whether it wants to run all day or needs more downtime.

What is an overnight stay like?

Boarding guests stay on the meal schedule their owners already use, so feeding times don't get thrown off. Dogs get frequent outdoor potty breaks, and staff can give medications when needed. The kennel says its goal is to make overnight stays feel safe, familiar, and comfortable for dogs who are away from home.

What does it cost, and how do you book?

Playful Pets publishes boarding rates of $45 to $50 per night on its website. Dogs from the same family can share a kennel at a reduced rate, which helps households with more than one dog. All dogs need current vaccinations before they visit.

To book or ask questions, call 614-312-4665 or email playfulpetscolumbus@gmail.com. The kennel also posts updates on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, which is an easy way to see the play areas before your first visit.
