Misty Ridge Animal Resort and Boarding Kennel

Misty Ridge Animal Resort and Boarding Kennel is a dog and cat boarding kennel at 2922 Old Liberty Road in New Windsor, Maryland. For owners looking for dog boarding in New Windsor, it pairs traditional kennel stays with farm-style grounds, optional activities, and on-site training.

What is a stay like for dogs?

Dogs stay in indoor kennels with attached spacious outdoor runs, and the buildings are climate controlled. The property has acres of manicured lawns and three ponds, so a stay can involve more than a run and a food bowl. The kennel describes its setting as a high ridge with a pastoral view, and the place reads like a working farm built around animals.

Owners can add activities for dogs that need to burn energy:

• One-on-one playtime with staff (ball, tug-of-war, or Frisbee)
• Nature hikes with emailed photos, plus pond swims
• The Pampered Puppy Package, which bundles playtime, a hike, a daily chew, and an ice cream snack
• Indoor play space for bad-weather days
• Grooming, medication administration, and special diets

What makes Misty Ridge different?

The kennel also breeds German Shepherds and offers dog training, including Schutzhund work. That focus may appeal to owners of large, high-energy dogs. Misty Ridge accepts small, medium, large, and giant dogs, and it offers pickup and drop-off service. Cats are welcome too, with multi-level condos set by sunny picture windows.
