Krazy Dog Lady

Krazy Dog Lady is a home-based dog boarding service on Gulf Rd in Elyria, Ohio, offering cage-free stays along with dog walking and pet sitting visits. Instead of a traditional kennel, dogs board in a family environment with over 4 acres of land for supervised play.

What is boarding like at Krazy Dog Lady?

Dogs stay in a home rather than in rows of kennel runs, and the whole setup is cage-free. The business describes its approach as personal and relaxed, with attention paid to how each dog settles in and gets along with the group. Playtime is included with every boarding stay at no extra charge. The outdoor space gives dogs plenty of room to run and sniff around under supervision.

What services are offered?

• Cage-free, in-home dog boarding for small, medium, large, and giant dogs
• Medication administration during stays
• Dog walking visits and pet sitting drop-ins up to four times a day
• Cat and small-animal sitting
• Pet taxi and in-home treadmill concierge services

The walking and sitting options make it a practical choice for owners who need help beyond overnight boarding. A cat that would rather stay home, for example, can get drop-in visits while the dog boards.

What should owners know before booking?

Published boarding rates range from $50 to $130 per night. Drop-off and pick-up times are flexible, with early morning, late evening, and weekend slots available. That helps owners with early flights or late returns. Owners elsewhere in Lorain County who can't easily drive over can ask about the pet taxi.

Bookings are handled by phone at 440-670-6212. Calling ahead makes sense, since home-based boarding has limited space and dates can fill up around holidays.
