How the kennel is set up

Dogs are housed individually and exercised separately, which keeps unfamiliar dogs from mixing. Dogs from the same family can share a suite. Small dog rooms measure 3.5 by 4 feet. The large rooms run 3.5 by 12 feet, about 42 square feet, and the family suites are 6 by 8 feet. Indoor rooms let in natural light, and the outdoor play yard gives dogs room to move. The building is climate controlled, an ADT-monitored security system covers it, and rooms are cleaned and disinfected between boarders.

Training and grooming

Training sits alongside boarding here, with classes for new puppies, beginner obedience, and agility. Grooming is offered as well, so a dog can go home clean after a stay.

Practical details

The office is open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Booking goes through the K9 Care Camp website, and the office answers questions at 269-270-3393 or office@k9carecamp.com. The kennel also keeps a Facebook page for owners who want to follow along.
