Huntington Beach Veterinary Hospital

Huntington Beach Veterinary Hospital is a veterinary clinic at 724 E Utica Avenue that offers dog boarding and daycare in Huntington Beach, CA, and it boards cats too. The boarding area is inside a working animal hospital, so guests can see a veterinarian on site during hospital hours.

What does a stay include?

The boarding setup covers the basics most owners ask about first. Dogs stay in spacious kennels. Cats get condos with scratching posts and toys.

• Climate-controlled boarding area
• Secure outdoor play area
• Comfortable bedding provided
• Meals twice daily or on your pet's usual schedule
• Medication given during the stay, and special diets

Owners can bring their own food if their dog does better on what it eats at home. That can help with a sensitive stomach during a few nights away.

Why board at a vet hospital?

A vet hospital can be an easier choice for a dog that takes medication, is getting older, or eats a special diet. If a health concern comes up during hospital hours, a veterinarian is in the same building. The hospital's own website has a plain, practical tone and calls it a neighborhood clinic for dogs and cats.

Is daycare available?

Yes. Daycare is for owners who need someone to watch their dog during a workday or a long day of errands, without an overnight stay. Dogs spend the day at the hospital and go home that evening.

Hours and booking

The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. It is closed on Sunday, so plan drop-off and pick-up for days when it is open. Booking is done by phone at (714) 536-7591. Boarding requires current vaccinations, so have your dog's records handy when you call.
