Happy Paws Kennels

Happy Paws Kennels is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 6677 Midway Road in Dixon, California, and it boards cats as well. Every dog stays in an indoor/outdoor run with a doggie door, so it can move between the inside room and the outdoor space on its own schedule.

What are the runs like?

Runs come in three sizes, which lets owners match the space to one dog or to several dogs from the same home. The indoor side is heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer. Each run already has a Kuranda raised bed and blankets, so bedding doesn't need to come from home.

What do dogs do during the day?

The property has turf play yards with a shade sail and pools, plus large fenced play areas and a grass field. Dog daycare is available for owners who need daytime care instead of an overnight stay. Key amenities include:

• Climate-controlled indoor/outdoor runs in three sizes
• Turf play yards, fenced play areas and a grass field
• Medication administration and special diets
• Grooming, with baths available before pick-up
• A quiet cattery with four-level cat towers

How does feeding and care work?

House food includes grain-free kibble, wet food and farm-fresh eggs. The kennel can handle special diets, and staff give medications during the stay. That makes it a reasonable fit for senior dogs or dogs on a set routine. Long-term boarding is also listed among its services.
