Fortified K9

Fortified K9 is a dog boarding and training kennel on a 34-acre farm at 8411 Sims Road in Christiana, TN. Boarders get daily runs across the property. The same team also offers obedience work, board and train programs, and protection training.

What is boarding like on the farm?

The boarding program is built around exercise. Each dog gets two main exercise sessions a day, usually runs around the property. The kennel's view is that physical activity helps dogs settle into an unfamiliar place.

Between those sessions, social dogs join supervised group play, and dogs who prefer their own space get individual playtime. During the day, boarders can stretch out in 5x10 outdoor runs. The kennel building is climate controlled, and dogs are supervised around the clock.

• 34-acre farm with daily runs
• Two main exercise sessions per day
• Supervised group or individual playtime
• 5x10 outdoor runs for daytime use
• Climate control and 24/7 supervision

How does Fortified K9 keep dogs secure?

Every boarder wears an FI GPS tracking collar during its stay. The property is fully fenced with secure gates. That matters on a farm this size, where dogs spend real time outside.

What else does the kennel do?

Training is a large part of the business. Services include obedience training, board and train, personal protection training, and police K9 training. The kennel holds AKC Canine Good Citizen Certifier and NNDDA Certifying Official credentials. It also breeds German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds, and Labradors on site.

Its training approach centers on clear communication, consistent structure, and skills that hold up in everyday life. For owners who want more than a place to leave their dog, board and train covers both needs in one stay.
