Don O'Brien's Boarding & Training Kennels

Don O'Brien's Boarding & Training Kennels is a family-owned kennel at 11933 Walmort Road in Wilton, CA, offering dog boarding, cat boarding, and dog training. The business has been family owned and operated since 1988, and the owners live on site. For owners comparing dog boarding in Wilton, it is a traditional kennel with a strong training focus.

What does a dog's stay look like?

Dogs board in climate-controlled kennels with 24/7 supervision. For exercise, the kennel uses a large grassy, tree-shaded yard. Sessions there are run individually rather than in groups, which suits dogs that get stressed or overexcited in a pack.

• Climate-controlled boarding with round-the-clock supervision
• Individual outdoor exercise in a grassy, shaded yard
• Indoor play space
• Grooming, with bathing available before departure
• Bedding laundered at no extra charge

How does feeding work?

The kennel serves a high-quality food made without corn, soy, wheat, or by-products. Special diets are accommodated, which helps if your dog has a sensitive stomach or a set routine at home.

Is there training, and can cats stay too?

Training is a core part of the business, and the kennel lists both obedience and gun dog training among its services. Cats have their own separate quarters, with individual cat condos and scratching posts. That arrangement makes it a practical choice for households that need to board a dog and a cat at the same time.
