Dogtown Maryland

Dogtown Maryland is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 14200 Brandywine Road in Brandywine, MD, that also offers training and grooming. Small, medium and large dogs are all accepted, and each boarder stays in a private individual cottage with its own heating, air conditioning and covered deck.

Where do boarding dogs stay?

Each guest gets a private cottage instead of a run in a shared building. Every cottage is climate controlled, which matters in Maryland's humid summers and cold snaps. Small dogs have a dedicated, isolated area of their own, kept apart from the bigger boarders.

What does a typical day look like?

The property has over 2 fenced acres for play, and dogs get two supervised play times per day. Swimming pools are available in summer for dogs that like the water. The kennel also runs senior and individual playgroups for dogs that do better with calmer company or on their own.

What sets it apart?

The owners live on site, and the facility has 24-hour supervision. Dogs on special diets can be accommodated, so owners don't have to switch food for a stay. Boarding, daycare, training and grooming all happen at one location, which makes it easy to combine services.

Key services and amenities:

• Overnight boarding in private, climate-controlled cottages
• Dog daycare with supervised outdoor play
• Training and grooming on site
• Special diet accommodation
• Separate small-dog area and senior playgroups
