Derspinna Kennels

Derspinna Kennels is a dog boarding kennel at 9378 West O Avenue in Kalamazoo, Michigan, set on a 10-acre secluded country property. For owners comparing dog boarding in Kalamazoo, the draw is a quiet rural setting with private suites and owners who live on site.

What does a stay look like?

Each dog gets its own suite. Sizes include large, extra-large, and the Roomette super suite. Every suite has an attached, covered outdoor run that opens into a play yard. The building has central air conditioning and heat, and dogs sleep on Pipe Dream bedding.

Two playtimes a day come with every stay. The property has five outdoor soft play areas, so dogs spend real time outside instead of only taking a quick potty break.

• Individual suites with attached, covered outdoor runs
• Two daily playtimes included
• Five outdoor soft play areas
• Medication administration and special diets
• Grooming, nature walks, and pet massage

Who looks after the dogs overnight?

The owners live on the property and provide around-the-clock care. For owners nervous about leaving a dog overnight, that is often the deciding detail. Supervision runs 24/7, not just during office hours.

Can it handle dogs with special needs?

Derspinna Kennels gives medications and can follow a special diet. That helps with older dogs, dogs on a daily prescription, or picky eaters with a set feeding routine. Grooming is also available, so a dog can come home clean after a longer stay.
