Creekside's Bed & Biscuit

Creekside's Bed & Biscuit is a dog boarding kennel at 1412 Jade Rd in Columbia, MO, offering overnight stays in 16 kennels that each have a private indoor/outdoor run. It's a small operation, and the kennel's own site says the aim is to make a dog's stay feel second only to home.

What does a typical day look like?

Dogs head out to a supervised play yard five times a day, with each session lasting 10 to 15 minutes. Staff organize small playgroups for dogs who enjoy company, and individual playtime is also offered. Every guest gets one more round of outdoor time in the evening before bedtime.

What's available during a stay?

• 16 kennels, each with a private indoor/outdoor run
• Supervised play yard with small groups or solo play
• Grooming services
• Medication administration
• House food, or your dog's own

Owners are welcome to pack their dog's own bedding, toys, treats, and food to keep routines as familiar as possible. House food is available for those who would rather not bring meals from home.

Practical details for Columbia owners

Boarding is listed at $58 per day on the kennel's website. Military and emergency services personnel receive a 10% discount. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and reservations are made by phone at 573-474-3515. Vaccinations are required for all boarders, so it helps to have records ready when you call.

Can you see the place first?

Yes. Facility tours are available by appointment. That's a sensible step before any first stay, and a kennel with 16 runs makes it easy to get a clear look at the setup and talk with the people who will care for your dog.
