Canine Country Club

Nestled on a former horse stable in Columbiana, Alabama, Canine Country Club is a family-owned and operated dog boarding kennel run by James and Jackie Hale, who have been part of the Chelsea/Columbiana community for nearly 30 years. Converted from half of the Hales' original horse barn in 2016, the kennel opened in early 2017 and has since become a trusted "country retreat" for dogs whose owners want more than a standard cage-and-crate experience.

Each guest stays in a private Clubhouse, either a Standard interior-only suite or a Clubhouse with Patio that adds outdoor living space, with larger "Jumbo" options available for extra-large or multiple dogs from the same household. The daily routine is built around consistency, exercise, and cleanliness.

Peace of Mind

The kennel is sanitized daily with an EPA-approved WysiWash system and uses Rensair air purification to keep the space clean and infection risk low. A 24kW Generac generator backs up the facility so heating and air conditioning continue uninterrupted during severe weather.

Canine Country Club maintains a minimum-vaccine policy, requiring DAPP, Rabies, Bordetella, Canine Adenovirus, and Canine Influenza vaccinations (or a titer/exemption from a vet), and reserves solo Private Play for dogs that don't do well in groups. Reservations are made through the online booking system, with tours available by appointment on select weekday afternoons.
