Canal Bark

Canal Bark is a dog hotel in Duluth, MN that offers overnight boarding, daycare, grooming and training under one roof. Owners looking for dog boarding in Duluth will find upscale suites and rooms here instead of plain kennel runs. Cats can stay too, in a cattery kept apart from the dogs.

What services does Canal Bark offer?

The facility covers most of what an owner needs for a trip or a long workday:

• Overnight boarding in private suites and rooms
• Dog daycare with group or private supervised play
• Grooming and training
• Medication administration and special diets
• Cat boarding in multi-level condos, housed separately from the dogs

What is a stay like for a dog?

Canal Bark calls itself a 5-Star Dog Hotel, and the rooms are set up to match. Guest rooms have fluffy bedding, and soothing music plays to keep things calm. Every dog gets at least four relief breaks a day, and staff do comprehensive daily wellness checks.

Play happens in both indoor and outdoor yards, which include obstacles and a splash pool. Social dogs can join supervised group play. Shy dogs or those who do better alone can get private play time instead.

What sets the building apart?

Air quality gets real attention here. A fresh-air exchange system renews the air every 10 minutes, a useful detail in a building full of dogs. The cattery is housed separately from the dog areas, so the two kinds of guests stay apart.
