All Dog Obedience

All Dog Obedience offers dog boarding, doggie daycare, and training in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at 2308 Sunny Meadow. Boarding runs seven days a week, and daycare is available Monday through Friday. Training sits at the center of the business. Owner Jennifer graduated from Animal Behavior College in February 2010 as an ABC certified dog trainer, has been training for 22 years, and also serves as an evaluator for the American Kennel Club and Therapy Pets Unlimited.

What sets it apart

The schedule is built around training, not kennel space alone. Board and train keeps a dog on site for the full three to four weeks. Owners may visit, but the trainer discourages it, since dogs do not understand why people come and then leave again. Owners write up a list of what they want worked on, and homework goes home with the dog at pickup.

For owners who are not sure where to start, in-person evaluations put the dog with other dogs and cover the options face to face. Dogs eight months and older may be required to complete one before joining board and train, at the trainer's discretion. There is also a video route: send a two to three minute clip of the problem behavior and get back a plan to correct it.

Practical details

Boarding and daycare are $25 for the first dog and $20 for each additional dog from the same household. Board and train starts at $900 and rises with the length of stay, with a $200 non-refundable deposit. Private sessions run $85, last about an hour, and cover up to two dogs from one home.
