A Dog's World is a dog boarding, daycare, and grooming kennel at 4120 Springhill Rd in Bryant, AR, serving owners in Bryant, Little Rock, Benton, and nearby towns. The property covers 10 gated acres with playgrounds for all breeds and sizes. The building is climate controlled, and each suite has indoor and outdoor access. The kennel also runs the same air purification system used in veterinary hospitals.

What sets it apart

Owner Scott Smith lives on the premises, so dogs are looked after outside a typical 8-to-5 window and scheduled medications happen on time. Smith has served the Central Arkansas pet and show dog industry for 33 years and is known nationally for breeding, showing, and grooming standard and toy poodles. He began grooming at 17 under Gene Flint, then apprenticed with Robert N. Peeples, the American Kennel Club's 1991 Handler of the Year. He designed A Dog's World around kennels he had worked at and toured across the United States. Todd Tieran helps manage the facility and brings 13 years working for Dr. Hartford Hamilton.

Practical details

Booking is by phone at (501) 847-2639. Drop-off and pickup run 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Current rabies and Bordetella records are required, and no dog is boarded without them. Bordetella is not part of a standard shot series, so owners have to request it. Owners bring their dog's food plus any medication labeled with feeding and dosing times. Dog beds and bowls can stay home, since the kennel supplies both.
