Woof Dah!

Woof Dah! is a kennel-free dog boarding and daycare facility at 12250 Portland Ave in Burnsville, Minnesota. Dogs spend their days in supervised group play and their nights in a shared sleeping room instead of individual cages. It suits owners whose dogs get anxious in a kennel or are used to sleeping near people.

What services does Woof Dah! offer?

The facility covers both overnight stays and daytime care, with bathing and swimming on site.

• Cage-free overnight boarding with 24/7 supervision
• Dog daycare with supervised group play and socialization
• Indoor heated dog pool and outdoor splash park
• Departure baths, nail trims, deshedding, and brush-outs
• Medication administration and special diets

How do overnight stays work?

Boarding dogs sleep together in a communal room the kennel calls the 'Slumber Bay,' which is set up with orthopedic beds. Staff stay awake overnight in that sleeping room, so dogs are not left alone after dark. The building is climate controlled, and owners can check in on their dogs through webcam access while they are away.

How is it different from a traditional kennel?

The main difference is the open, cage-free setup. Dogs share indoor play areas and outdoor space during the day. The pool and splash park give active dogs another way to burn off energy, which can help on longer trips. The kennel describes its approach in terms of freedom, play, and constant care.

Practical details

Boarding runs $66 to $71 per night, according to the kennel's website. Longer stays get a break through the '10th Night Free' discount. Reservations are made online, and questions can go to info@woofdah.com.
