Woof Central

Woof Central is a dog boarding and daycare facility on Penn Avenue South in Richfield, Minnesota. It also offers grooming and training, so owners can take care of most of their dog's needs in one stop.

What does Woof Central offer?

The building covers over 11,000 square feet, with indoor play areas and an outdoor relief area. Dogs play in custom groups sorted by temperament, age, and size. Staff supervise them constantly during the day, and boarders sleep in private dens and suites.

• Overnight boarding in private dens and suites
• Daycare, with doggie play passes available
• Grooming and training services
• Medication administration and special diets
• Climate control and a professional-grade air exchange system

What makes it different?

This place is built around group play. The kennel describes itself as somewhere a dog can simply be a dog all day, and the setup supports that. Dogs are matched with similar playmates and go out for potty breaks four to five times a day. Staff watch them the whole day.

New dogs start with a free first-day evaluation. That gives staff a chance to see how a dog handles the group before it becomes a regular. Owners who worry about air quality in a building full of dogs may like the air exchange system. Climate control keeps the indoor play space comfortable no matter the season.
