Urban Hound Playground

Urban Hound Playground is a cage-free dog boarding and daycare facility at 6045 Pillsbury Ave. S. in Minneapolis. For owners comparing dog boarding in Minneapolis, it offers overnight stays and daytime play in one building, with staff supervising around the clock.

What services does Urban Hound Playground offer?

The facility runs both doggy daycare and overnight boarding. Boarding costs $69 per night, and that rate includes a day of play, so overnight guests stay active instead of waiting out the hours. Dogs of every size are accepted, from small breeds up to giant ones.

• Cage-free boarding with 24/7 supervision
• Daycare with indoor play in a climate-controlled building
• Medication administration for dogs that need it
• Kuranda beds for overnight guests
• Crates and kennels available on request

What makes it different from a traditional kennel?

Dogs here generally aren't confined to runs. They play and rest in shared spaces, and owners whose dogs prefer a den of their own can ask for a crate or kennel. Small, elderly or mellow dogs get a separate playroom away from the bigger, rowdier groups. That can matter a lot for a senior dog or a little one who gets overwhelmed easily.

Cleaning is handled with an AquaAir wet/dry sanitation system. For emergencies, the facility is affiliated with Woodlake Veterinary Clinic.
