Triumph K9 Training

Triumph K9 Training is a training-focused dog boarding business in Houston, TX, built around board-and-train programs for dogs of every size. Besides boarding, it offers private lessons, behavior consulting, protection dog training and dog walking.

What does Triumph K9 Training offer?

The business leans toward training rather than simple overnight care. Its tagline, "Because your house is not a zoo," sets the tone. This is a fit for owners who want their dog to come home with better manners. Key services include:

• Board-and-train programs
• Private lessons at the facility or at your location
• Behavior consulting with personalized plans
• Protection dog training and obedience training
• Dog walking

Who is it a good fit for?

Owners dealing with a specific behavior problem may find behavior consulting the best place to start. Each plan is personalized to the dog and to the owner's routine. The website describes using a mix of training techniques, relying on repetition and steady progression, because no two dogs learn the same way.

Triumph K9 Training accepts small, medium, large and giant dogs. That makes it a practical option for owners of big breeds as well as small ones.

How do you get started?

Booking is handled by phone at 765-480-2142. The first step is a free initial consultation, which gives owners a chance to talk through their dog's needs before committing to a program. Questions can also be sent by email to triumphk9@gmail.com.

The website is upfront that training only lasts if owners keep practicing at home. Owners get specific instructions to help them maintain what their dog learned, so it's worth planning some time for follow-through after a board-and-train stay.
