Top of the Hill Kennels

Top of the Hill Kennels provides dog boarding in Highgate Center, Vermont, along with daycare, cat boarding, and grooming. The kennel is at 145 McKinnel Rd, open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and reservations are handled by phone.

What the boarding areas are like

Dogs stay in more than 2,000 square feet of indoor boarding space. The kennels measure 3'x8' and 4'x8' and use ABS privacy dividers, so each dog gets a visual break from its neighbors. Beds sit off the floor, and relaxing music plays 24 hours a day. The building is air-conditioned and climate-controlled.

Outside there are seven exercise areas plus 180 feet of continuous run. Dogs are exercised at least three times daily. Cats board on a separate floor in multi-level condos, away from the dogs entirely.
