The Home of Paws

The Home of Paws offers dog boarding in Plainville, MA, along with daycare, from its location at 54 Washington Street on Route 1. Dogs spend their days in supervised play groups, and the business boards cats as well. Its website talks about treating every pet like family, and the setup is built around play and attention.

What services does The Home of Paws offer?

The main services are daycare, traditional boarding, and cage-free boarding. Play groups are sorted by size and temperament, which helps match each dog with suitable playmates. Those groups are supervised, and dogs move between indoor and outdoor space.

• Two spacious indoor and outdoor play areas
• Climbing structures and water play, with kiddy pools in summer
• Pick-up and drop-off service, one-way or round-trip
• Daily photos posted to Facebook

What makes it different?

The play areas are the main draw here. Dogs get climbing structures to explore and water play to cool off with, and kiddy pools come out for summer splash time. Owners with a tight schedule can arrange a ride for their dog in one direction or both. The daily Facebook photos also let owners see how their dog is spending the day.

What does boarding cost, and how do you book?

The website lists boarding at $75 to $85 per night. Reservations are made online through thehomeofpaws.com. Vaccinations are required, so it makes sense to have records on hand before a first stay.

When is it open?

The Home of Paws is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Saturday hours are shorter, running from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and the facility is closed on Sunday. Owners with questions can call 508-316-0866.
