The Happy K-9

The Happy K-9 is a training-focused dog daycare in Danvers, MA, located at 197 Newbury St B. It pairs supervised group play with training services that include behavior modification and board and train. Care runs Monday through Friday, and published rates fall between $55 and $85 per day.

What services does The Happy K-9 offer?

Training is the core of the business, and the daycare is built around it. The facility's work includes puppy training, off-leash training, socialization, and training for aggressive dogs. Board and train is also on the list for owners who want a more intensive option.

Key services and amenities:

• Large indoor and outdoor play areas
• Artificial turf and pea stone surfaces
• Mini swimming pools
• Play supervised by experienced staff
• Transportation for $10 each way

What makes it different from other daycares?

The Happy K-9 describes itself as a training company first, and the daycare reflects that. Its website stresses structure and routine over free-for-all play. Confidence building and socialization are stated goals, so the day is meant to do more than tire a dog out.

The business also works with dogs that have behavior problems, including aggression. Owners whose dogs struggle around other dogs may find it worth a call to ask how a day there would work for them.

What practical details should owners know?

Hours are 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The facility is closed on Saturday and Sunday, so it suits weekday work schedules rather than weekend care. Late pick-up options are available for owners who run behind.
