The Green Dog

The Green Dog is an in-home dog boarding and training service in Charlotte, NC, run out of a house on Spicewood Drive rather than a commercial kennel building. Dogs stay in a home environment with over an acre of wooded property to roam, and the business boards no more than two dogs at a time.

What a stay looks like

Boarding is cage-free, which means dogs are not cycling between a run and a crate on a fixed schedule. The two-dog cap is the center of the whole setup. Outdoor space and attention get divided two ways at most, and a dog's usual routine can largely carry over. It fits dogs who settle better in a household than in a room full of other boarders.

Food, health, and booking

Owners can send their dog's regular food, and raw diets are accepted. Vaccinations are required for every boarding dog.
