The Dapper Dog LLC

The Dapper Dog LLC is a woman-owned dog boarding and daycare facility at 564 Main Street South in Bethlehem, CT, with grooming available on site. Dogs stay in private, climate-controlled suites and spend time outdoors on more than 3 acres of land.

What are the boarding suites like?

The suites are larger than state requirements and come in sizes from Standard to Deluxe. Each one has a tempered glass door, so dogs can see out instead of facing a solid wall. Background music plays during the stay and nightlights stay on, which can help a nervous dog settle in an unfamiliar place.

How does a typical day go?

Each dog gets individual leash walks and play three to four times a day on the property. Meals follow the dog's home feeding routine twice daily, a small detail that helps dogs who don't handle change well. Owners get daily photo updates while their dog is away. Supervision runs around the clock.

What should owners know before booking?

New boarders must complete a trial stay before their first booking. That gives staff and the dog a chance to see whether boarding is a good fit before a longer stay. All dogs must be current on required vaccinations, and the staff are trained in Pet First Aid & CPR. Reservations are made by phone at 203-266-7800.
